Requests, votes, and tips from the crowd

The crowd scans a QR code and requests songs from their phones, with no app or account needed. You see every request ranked by votes, accept the ones you want, and they drop straight into your DJ software.

Requests ranked by votes

Every request shows up on your screen with its vote count, so you can see which tracks the crowd wants most and accept them when they fit.

Only the tracks you'll play

Restrict requests to a playlist of your own, set a limit on requests per guest, and auto-accept or auto-decline tracks by your own rules. Accepted songs export to Serato, Rekordbox, VirtualDJ, djay, and Traktor.

Earn tips on requests

Let the crowd add a tip when they request a song. You earn extra income during your set, and a tip gives their track a better chance of being played.

How Club DJs manage Song Requests

1

Setup

Before your gig begins, you create an event in Rekwest with details such as name, start time, duration, and venue information. Rekwest then generates a unique QR code or link that guests can scan or open to request songs directly from their browser without installing an app or creating an account. You can display the QR code around the club to make it easy for everyone to join in. You can optionally set rules to restrict requests to a specific repertoire, automatically accept or decline tracks based on pre-defined conditions, or limit the number of requests per guest.

2

During the Event

During the event, you see requests and votes appear in real time and decide which tracks to accept or decline. Accepted tracks can be exported automatically to Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, or added directly to your DJ software such as Serato, Rekordbox, VirtualDJ, djay, or Traktor. When requesting a song, guests can add a tip, increasing their chances of their request being accepted and allowing you to earn extra income during your set.

3

Post-Event

After the event, Rekwest provides analytics showing which songs were most requested and which led to the highest engagement. You also have the option to automatically send follow-up emails to attendees, helping promote future club nights or special events.

Club DJ song request FAQ

question 1 dropdown arrow
Do clubbers need to download an app or sign up?

No. The crowd scans your QR code or opens your link and requests straight from their browser. No app install and no account are required.

question 2 dropdown arrow
Can I stop requests for songs I don't want to play?

Yes. Restrict requests to a playlist of your own so the crowd can only request tracks you'd actually play, and approve or decline each request, with optional auto-accept and auto-decline rules.

Will requests interrupt my mixing?
