Built for the realities of a wedding reception

A wedding is never just one party. It is a dinner, a first dance, the parent dances, and a late-night floor, each with its own mood. Rekwest helps you read every moment without ever losing control of the music.

No more crowding the booth

Instead of a line of guests shouting requests over the music, everyone requests from their phone by scanning a QR code. You stay focused on mixing, not fielding interruptions during the first dance.

The couple stays in control

Lock requests to a playlist the couple approved in advance, so anything outside it simply can't be requested. Guests can still join in, but only with music the couple is happy to hear on their day.

Read a changing room

Live voting shows what the floor actually wants right now, whether that is a slow song for the grandparents at dinner or a crowd-pleaser when the dance floor dips, so the energy never stalls.

How Wedding DJs manage Song Requests

1

Setup

Before the big day, you create an event with the couple's names, the reception date, and the running time. Rekwest generates a unique QR code or link guests open straight from their browser, with no app and no account. Lock requests to a playlist the couple approved in advance, so only songs on it can be requested, and let optional auto-accept and auto-decline rules keep the genre on track while you read the room.

2

During the Wedding

From the cocktail hour through dinner and onto the late-night floor, requests and votes appear in real time so you can feel the room without guests crowding the booth. Accept the tracks that fit the moment, a slow one for the parent dances or a crowd-pleaser when the floor needs lifting, and they flow straight into Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, or your DJ software like Serato, Rekordbox, VirtualDJ, djay, or Traktor. Let guests add dedications and tips to their requests for shout-outs during the night.

3

After the Event

After the last dance, send an automated thank-you email to the guests that quietly promotes your services to everyone who attended, often a wedding DJ's best source of future bookings. Rekwest's analytics show which songs filled the floor and how the crowd engaged, so every wedding makes the next one sharper.

Wedding DJ song request FAQ

question 1 dropdown arrow
Can I lock requests to the songs the couple approved?

Yes. Choose a playlist as your repertoire and guests can only request songs from it, so anything the couple doesn't want simply isn't available to request. Optional auto-decline rules give you even more control.

Do wedding guests need to download an app or sign up?

No. Guests scan your QR code or open your link and request straight from their browser. No app install and no account are required.
